Braintree

Overview​

Braintree Payments allows you to accept credit cards through ChargeOver using your existing Braintree merchant account.

Steps to Connect​

In Braintree​

  1. Log into your Braintree Payments account at https://www.braintreegateway.com/login
  2. You will need to get a few different things from Braintree
    • Your Merchant ID
    • Public Key
    • Private Key
  3. Navigate to Account, then My User Authorization and click API Keys
  4. If no API keys appear, click Generate New
  5. Click View under the Private Key column
  6. Navigate to Settings then Processing and Merchant Accounts to find your Merchant ID

Now, it's time to go back to ChargeOver and get the two connected.

In ChargeOver​

  1. Go to your Settings then Payment Methods
  2. Choose Braintree Payments from the choices
  3. Enter in your API Login ID and Transaction Key

  1. Scroll to the next section and designate which payment types you accept (Visa, Mastercard, ACH, etc.)
  2. Click Save Settings when finished
